Coming from the St. Louis area. Probably have a mini-van with 4 adults and 3 children.

Southern roadtrip from Georgia to Alabama or Tennessee(depending on Nightsky) up through Moline, Ill, and maybe Chicago to the gathering. All plans subject to change based on participants, of course :)

Possibly busing it from New Brunswick to Chicago, and meet up with Wild and her wacky Van. More likely, though, will be taking a plane. Szech is with me on both possiblities.

I don't think we have many Texan 'drekkers, perhaps if our honorary 'drekker Maelwys would come over...?

Maelwys has already booked his plane tickets to arrive in Milwaukee the day before Gencon starts.

I've just gone in for my passport photos-- me being alowed to fly is confirmed. However, Air Miles isn't always friendly to you for booking flights, so we need to get together ASAP to discuss it.
My parents suggested one group use their airmiles for both of us, then the other group reimburses them. Easier to book 2 at once than to synchronize 2 seperate bookings.

No, not really. The difficulty is, that once someone has booked the flight, and thus has a flightnumber, and the other goes to book the same flight with another agent, they might shaft you on the price. Once they smell that you are determined to take that flight, they'll try to get you to take it off of them for more money.

Always an option. It's not the longest flight in the world. We're gonna conference sooner rather than later- but I must wait until next Wednesday or so... parents out of town =/

To say nothing of me, of course. :)

Band Camp ends August 3, so, hypothetically, I could possibly make it up there...

...but I probably won't, because I'm broke and have paranoid parents. And would be a walking dead man, for the most part; two weeks backpacking immediatly followed by a week of band camp is seriously going to do its best to kill me.

So what does 'probably won't' cover? Not that you should worry about these things, but if, say, hypothetically a black van drove by your house on Saturday, and you hypothetically were standing outside with your sleeping bag and pillow, would the hypothetocal kidnapping be covered?

well... NiceAaron and I, possible GtM will be attending from the Twin Cities in MN... Anyone from the cities needing to carpool is welcome. We'll pro'ly take 2 cars, Aaron's saturn, and my truck (the beast). Vast ammounts of shit can be hauled between them, so issue requests if needed... (I'll pro'ly regret those words...)

If anyone in the general area covered by our trip needs a ride, please tell me. I'd be willing to tack on as much as 3 hours if anyone needs a ride and wishes to help w/gas... (roughly $9/hr. in gas money) Plenty-o-cargo space, so don't worry.

I may take you up on that vralkie. My grandparents live up in Brooklyn center, so I may arrange to go up there and visit them, go to gathering, and then come back and visit them some more.

I shall keep you informed.
