[Gathering] First Bulldrek Baby Thing!

What is it? Tribute to the Mighty Bolt & Grinder/Baby Shower for Thorn & Caz
When is it? Saturday, August 14, 2004
Where is it? IC & Jaded’s new doss* in Volo, IL
How do we get there? R.S.V.P. to IC or Jaded and they will send directions.
Gifts? Thorn will be registered at Babies-R-Us but $ is always a perfect gift for new parents. No animal sacrifices please.

Provisions and housing? IC and Jaded will provide soda and food for the party…adults can purchase alcohol and other “necessities” at stores located across the street. The new place will include a big English basement with nice, soft, new carpet (emphasis on new--in other words mess it up at your own risk…IC is a tad anal about keeping the new carpet clean since he will have to remove the mess along with the subsequent blood stains) perfect for crashing on inside your sleeping bag. People traveling from the far reaches of the universe are welcome to stay before/after the party if you give IC and Jaded enough advanced notice. Volo, IL is 3.5 hours from Indianapolis.

*Plan B: If the new place is not finished by August (highly unlikely), the party will be held at IC and Jaded’s current apartment and “crashing space” will be split up between the apartment and MooCow’s place about 20 minutes away.

A big thank-you to IC, Jaded and MooCow, for giving us this opportunity to let the babies meet everyone who can make it. Since GenCon is just not going to be an option for us this year, this is also going to be our only real chance to see all you crazies we normally see every summer, so I really hope we can see as many folks there as possible!!!

This will also work out for Jaded and I since the new house will more than likely drain our reasources. This means it might be the only chance we get to seeeveryone this year. So, I guess that means /a/ gathering will be held at our place.

IC, you do realize you're being a wee bit optimistic, thinking that we're going to be able to stow the kids away after dark, don't you? Man, it'd be /awesome/ if they were sleeping through the night by then.... grin.

Even people who show up later in the evening will still have an opportunity to see the kids - they'll just have to wait until they're awake (give 'em a couple hours, tops).

Oh I know that there will be intermittent baby breaks, but we keep the adult activities downstairs so if time is required for the infants, the upstairs will be all quiet and calm like.

And unfortunately, I need to have some fairly serious work done to get my wisdom teeth ripped out, which means I need my remaining four days for the time off necessary. It wouldn't be my first choice, but I will have no time free to take off until likely Septemeber, possibly October. Sorry folks, but I'm out.
