Since I won't be there and have little say, my opinion doesn't matter, but....
What is the fascination with RHPS? I've seen it many times and while the first once or twice was amusing, the next viewings (I think I rank in with only a few dozen, less than 50, at least) were pretty meaningless wastes of a Friday night...
So, what is the fascination?
I'm not knocking it, I'm just curious why people find it so fascinating. In the 70s and 80s, it was, at least, bringing a lifestyle few people were aware of (or, perhaps more accurately, admittedly aware of) to the forefront of mainstream life--but now that homosexuality and transvestitism are so much a part of the mainstream world, what is the fascination?

It's the people you go with and the people you meet there. I could see it being really boring if you went every week for months with the same people and saw the same cast. I haven't been with any of the Bulldrekkers though, and I wager a few of them would be quite fun to go with.EvanMoore wrote: What is the fascination with RHPS? I'm not an extrovert, but I love being an extrovert; getting dressed up, drinking a bit and going to the show, meeting new people and then going out to IHOP, flirting with the waitresses and then going home as the sun is rising is just great fun.
I'm down with goth chicks in corsets and fishnets, too. Fuck, I'm down with myself in fishnets.
I wouldn't do it every week; aside from the fact that there's no local cast it would mean I would have to buy some boots of my own, and I don't have the budget for that. <g>
Edit: And the music fucking rocks on toast.

When I was 17 and, as Adam put it so eloquently...Cash wrote:So, what is the fascination?EvanMoore wrote: What is the fascination with RHPS? Of course, when I was viewing it, they weren't "goth chicks". But, anyplace that women wear underwear (and little else) and don't mind allowing a young, nearly-virginal man to cop a feel or two is worth the attraction.I'm down with goth chicks in corsets and fishnets, too.
At least, that's how I felt at 17.
That fascination passed, however. I became more interested in committed relationships--and they were still wanting to flaunt their ass-ets.
(I have to be honest... After viewing the picture archive... The idea of Jaded in...
...is rather appealing. <wink>Damn...more shit to pack. Must make mental list: fishnets, corset, rice, t.p., spray bottle, umbrella, etc.

If there is one universally true fact about myself, no matter how hot he/it looks, if it ain't a "she" underneath it all, I find it difficult to consider it "sexy".Instant Cash wrote: Dont get too excited there, what makes you think she is the one wearing those?

No offense, but it's just not my cup of tea.

Rocky Horror:
Saturday, midnight, at the Majestic (that's the downtown one, screw the other - we want the one near booze and the gyro place that's open til 4 a.m.)
I've only been a couple times, so it'd be great.
And Caz dear? You really should just go as Eddy. I mean, really... with that mane.....

Deev: You should see it at least once. Its completely non-sensical, full of (I guessing here) related audience participation gags (Toast? wtf?). Its like MSTing a bad movie while on crack, and its amusing once or twice. For some reason, people also seem to have this compulsion to dress up as their favorite character in the movie, too.
I personnaly only found it mildly funny, but I'm assuming it would be not quite as bad with 10 or 15 bulldrekkers around though.

The character proposed a toast, so, therefore, toast.Wildfire wrote: Toast? wtf?
[I've not actually seen this at the performances I was at]

Memories
I was Rocky at the second show I went to. There was nothing quite so cool as running around the audience hall being chased by a female Dr. Frankenfurter. The screams from the audience made the night.
The most fun at the show is talking to the characters, oh and busting cherries...

Talisman is good for busting up couples and friends for long periods of time. My brother has a set that he will not ever part with...
I love the Warrior. He's so deliciously simple... "I like swords."

Make explosives, it's really not that hard and destroying people's mailboxes never gets old.
The other game you can play is "Koalas". In this game, you point at a monument of some sort, and you yell, "Koala!" then you clim on top of the thing or hang off it somehow, while someone else takes a photo.
This game isn't only fun, but gives you many a photo for the BD pictre archive also. Play Koalas, you slack bastards.

Actually, wouldn't "kill doctor lucky" be like the bulldrek version of Clue? You could just pretend that 32 was the good doctor.

Jestyr: Oh yes, I have Chez Geek. I have both expansions as well. And I think we'll have to make up some special Occupations and Activities that are BD specific.
Also, Does anyone like chess? Anyone got a chess set they can bring? I was thinking about picking up a copy of Knightmare chess. It's a cool game by SJG. Basicly it's a set of 64 cards that alter the normal rules of chess. Pretty cool.

It's mostly beforehand than during, silly.
Anyway, I have Nuclear War and Ebola Monkey Hunt, which are both fun, in a backstabbing sort of way.
