A world wrought with danger
Giving meaning to pain
Colaesing with eternity,
Fate may shed a tear.

Nursing this punishment,
Lays dorment greed.
Cloaked in turmoil
And fed with determined evil.
Joins an alliance, enforcing the sorrow.

You cannot judge
A forbidden fruit when
It has come to ripeness.
And as it towers into the heavens
It will try to crush us.

Guiding a broken will
Fueling numbing distrust
Paranoia becomes common
As all give in to the warnings.

Apathy has encompassed
Humanity enshrined
There is no way out
Perhaps we're no longer
Alive.

You cannot judge

Perhaps it's just a given
Monkey kill monkey
In dissolution a problem matures.
Nothing can overcome
Unless something wants to be done.

Good use of metapohore....are you trying to allude to the "Garden of Eden" story?

Yes, but that was a vague part of it. It mostly wrote it's self, but I did conjure up those images to help make it more potent. It's really supposed to speak on behalf of society's evolution. From cavemen to modern day urban dweller. From prey to predator and back again, existing as own prey.
