[Music] End result of abject frustration

Post by Kai »

Seeing as my sound card refuses to play nice with Plasma under XP and it takes goddamn forevr to do anything of length in FruityLoops, its back to eJay. I kinda like it anyways.

Nice. Not super-mega-hit, but a good beat. Makes decent background music, mayhap.

Goddamnit, I want my keyboard. I've got three songs written, I just can't record them using samples. Excellent stuff, Wild.

its a nice change from the rest of the music in my library. It has a decent trance feel that is remeniscent of club days way back in the yester years when trance/techno and house all mixed together avidly. IMHO that is what it feels like to me.

Its a very old program and its all pre-built samples, which given my lack of attention span seems to minimize the time I get lost over a particular instrument or beat counts. So I actually get something done instead of a ton of cool sounding 3 second snips that never amount to anything :) Its truly right brain leakage but its a damn sight better that try number one and the FruityLoops expedition that while cool is completely unusable since I can't export looped patterns :7

What you might want to do to export loops is save them as their own song, and then re-import them into whatever project they're a part of. That's how I'm creating drum loops; it's a lot easier and more efficient then trying to do it by ear in Soundforge.

That's the idea, except I can't get my soundcard to work with Plasma, hence nothing to import into worth using :7

Can you not import stuff into eJay?

Not terribly reliably no :) If I need to I can, but there's a very limited number of ways to mess with things in eJay once you import. We'll see, I don't go off and mix stuff that often anyways :)

If you'd like, I can FTP you Acid Pro 4.0. Comes to about 30 MB for the install, keygen, and manual, unzipped.

Might just take you up on that sometime, but I'll wait until things have settled down on your end a little and I can catch you on IRC :)

Finally got 'round to checking this out. Very nice, methinks.
