[No idea] A New Web

Post by Daki »

((Don't ask me where this came from. I just wanted to do something different and this was the first thing that came to mind))

A New Web

It took me weeks to figure out the secret of life.
Every day I'd have the same fucking challenge:
Build your web, catch some dinner, have some asshole ruin the web
Wash, rinse, repeat.
Imagine living like that every day.
Monotony doesn't even begin to describe it.

When the little human thing decided it would be fun to poke my new web with a stick
(twisting the fucking thing so it wrapped around like some god-damned May pole)
I gave up.
The local boss spider got my intent and I officially left the race of Spiders.
Flies taste like moldy diarhea anyway.
But what does a spider do when he's no longer a spider?

I tried hanging around with the roaches but they're all kinds of fucked up.
Too much natural sugar in their body.
Damn things skiitter at the slightest thing.
So I bummed around for a bit
Hitched a ride to a new neighborhood.
It was so nice not having to build that damn web every morning.

I began to wonder iff I would ever find a new life.
4 weeks old and fully in the midst of a mid-life crisis.
Makes me regret I ate my mother after hatching.
She might have had some advice on life
(besides "Never have kids. They'll only use you for food." )
Well, fate was on my side because I found my new calling.

Two glorious weeks later and I'm settled in my new life.
I'm a carrion feeder now.
The taste of the dead flesh wash odd at first
But I found these human things stay moist forever around here.
A few of the other feeders told me it's been a feast for them the last two years.
More bodies than they could ever hope to eat and no one ever took them away.

It's a good life.
Being a spider sucks.
Carrion is the way to live.

It's different... but... HUH!? I get it all the way up to the ending and then ya lost me. Somewhere near the end of the street, you turned left when I kept going straight. No signal, no horn, no nuthin. Just left me in the dust. Thanks a lot.

Anyone got a map!?

He ends up as a worm, I think. I like it.
