[Software] Tracking/Mapping/etc

Post by MooCow »

So we're thinking about running a two team head-to-head game at GenCon. The biggest problem we see with that is coordinating between the two GMs where the teams are. It looks like something like webRPG.com would be useful, except we can't guarantee an outside connection at the Con.

Anyone have suggestions on programs that would help us create maps, and then track on those maps where characters are? And that can be run on a closed network? Also allow GMs to communicate with each other? The latter can be done with a simple chat program, but the less programs you have running the better.

Thanks!

Network the two machines, then install WinVNC, or PCanywhere, or something of the like. Then you can point out to teach other using the other's computer, where your players are and what they're doing.

"Internet White Board" which is neither a white board, nor does it strictly require the internet to function.
