[SR3] Trolls Horns
I had a random thought as I was stacking crates at work today, how sensitive are a Troll's horns? Would they have nerves in them? How badly, if at all, would it hurt if one got cracked or part broke off? Would it eventually regrow? Just one of those little things that I never thought about before.

They aren't skin-covered horns (like a deer's antlers when they're growing in), so I'd guess that they'd be akin to goat horns. Hard, no nerve endings inside, and slowly grow throughout a Troll's life. If they should crack off that horn would grow back, I think.
complete. dirty. whore.

If you want to use the ED 1st Ed book it says
Since it mentions rhino horn, you could extraplolate it to include troll horns as well. And rhino horns are made out of hair and...... crap. The stuff that fingernails are made of, iirc.Troll skin has a rough texture, increased by the ridges, spines or plating resulting from deposits of troltheia, a substance similar to the material in rhinocerous horn.
