[OOC] Darkest Before the Dawn

This is the out-of-character forum for our Dungeons & Dragons: Forgotten Realms campaign. Please post anything that is not part of the story HERE, and not in the in-character forum. This includes character concepts, questions, comments, times we can get together to play, etc.

I would like a character concept from each of you whenever you can find the time to send me one. Since we are using the BESM d20 system to create characters, the depth of your character's background will earn you bonus Building Points (if you are not familiar with the BESM d20 rules, go to http://www.guardiansorder.com/d20/ and read the System Reference Documents. I DO NOT need a full character breakdown right now... I would only like background story.

A few of things to keep in mind:

1. The campaign will be starting in Silverymoon.

2. Your characters will probably be starting out around 8th level or so.

3. Whether your characters want to know each other or not prior to the start of the campaign is up to you. If you don't know any of the other characters, however, please let me know so I can write you in somehow.

With that said and done, I would like for everyone who is playing to have a character completed by March 17th. Remember, only background needs to be posted here... I do not need ability scores, a rundown of skills and feats, a list of equipment, etc.

I will be an earth genasi with the alternate form power. By will alone I will be able to grow to large size catagory, gain super stregth, great durability, and natural weapons (My fists will become big and the knuckles will be all stony and awsome and shit) I grew up in the spine of the world with my Genasi mom. Then something happened, it resaultted in something else, then tragity struck, then something else. Well thats all I really know for now. I'll write more later.

Deep Gnome arcane scout (I guess you could call him that) Zet Kilbain be the name. He is the last of his clan since Blingdinstone was attacked by the drow. Now he lives in the silver marches. His ultimate goal is to avenge his clan and his people.

We are going to be playing our first session of this campaign on Tuesday, March 23rd. If you are playing this session, please have a character FINISHED by Tuesday evening. If not, that's fine, too, but there will be no retroactive experience; you only get rewarded for the sessions in which you participate. Whenever possible, please post as much information as you can about your character.

OK, disregard my last post... we will DEFINITELY be playing this Sunday afternoon as soon as James gets out of work. I've made Sam's character already. If anyone needs to borrow any books or just needs to hear some information, let me know.

The In Character Forum for this campaign is now OPEN. The introductory post includes some information about some NPCs of which the PCs might not be aware; I trust that you're all in the know about keeping IC and OOC knowledge blah blah blah. Feel free to post whatever about your characters as long as it is IN CHARACTER.

Examples:

Acceptable: "Zet Kilbain sat quietly on his bed, lost in thought, remembering painfully the family that he had lost so many years ago."

Not Acceptable: "I think my character is going to have a +2 dancing mancatcher and the Remain Conscious feat. Are we playing at 200P or 300P on Sunday? I like Doritos."

You get the idea.
