Hey, it's been one of those years. So good in some ways, but at the same time I've been ready to usher in a new year for WEEKS now.

Did 2007 suck donkey balls for everyone else?

Mine was meh, hoping this year will see some change.

Though I guess some cool things did happen.

Well, I can say that 2007 was simply a year of change, challenge, and some other C-word that I can't think of at the moment. I think 2008 will be a year of progressing towards goals for me. At least I started it off on the right foot. As of the 1st, I'm engaged to the most wonderful woman I've ever met. :)

Actually, the scary thing is that, despite the fact that my life continues to be sequential strangeness strung together endlessly, 2007 can actually be counted among my better years of the last decade. (Though, honestly, that isn't saying all that much.) The best part about it being the fact that I have a great job that has absolutely nothing at all to do with the gaming industry. :D

And I am looking forward to 2008 and hoping for just a bit less weirdness in my life.

Fantastic news, man!
_There are some who say that Time is itself a hammer: that each slow second marks another tap that makes big rocks into little rocks, waterfalls into canyons, cliffs into beaches.
There are some who say that Time is instead a blade. They see the dance of its razored tip, poised like a venomous snake, forever ready to slay faster than the eye can see.
And there are some who say that Time is both hammer and blade.
They say the hammer is a sculptor's mallet, and the blade is a sculptor's chisel: that each stroke is a refinement, a perfecting, a discovery of truth and beauty within what would otherwise be blank and lifeless stone.
And I name this saying wisdom.
