[Help] Need to find a compatible electric motor

Post by UncleJoseph »

I'm interested in specs/availability on a powerful electric motor. Does anyone have any resources for companies offering a motor with these specs:

Brushless is preferable, although not required
Maximum 80-120 shaft HP at 2750-3200 RPM
12-volt DC current
Weight between 135 lbs and 220 lbs.
Relatively high torque
Compatible with a variable speed controller
Ability to run continuously at an "idle" setting (approximately 500 RPM)
Ability to run continuously at a 75% power setting (producing about 70-90HP)
Ability to run continuously at a 100% power setting (producing 80-120HP).

I'm currently researching companies that offer motors on this scale, but I'm having difficulty finding one that reasonably fits in these parameters. The maximum RPM limits are an absolute...the motor cannot run higher than 3200 RPM while producing maximum power. The motor can be capable of running higher than this, but it would have to be governed. This will be a direct-drive motor, with no reduction drive or transmission.

Thanks!
