FireFox and Java problems

I'm having a problem with Firefox 1.7.10 and JRE 1.4.1, when ever I open a java applete in Firefox, Firefox will just suddenly disappear, no error or anything just disappear, I've uniltaned the JRE and installed it again but still have the same problem. Anyone have any clue how to fix this?

Oh man. You <b>uniltaned</b> the JRE? Once you've you've uniltaned the JRE, a computer will never ever function at 100%.

It needs to be taught: don't uniltaned anything without proper supervision.

Uniltanation is the number one cause of data loss.

Okay...I guess I should have asked that first then. I must have misread something on the firefox website then that I though said to to try to reinstall the JRE, but apprently not.

My firefox is working fine.

Actually, I think it was this place that made me look at other browsers to begin with. I remember thinking "you can do that?"

Yeah, me too. Still use IE, though.
