About Sinsual

Post by Reika »

I was recently notified that Sinsual was in an accident on March 26th and is currently in the hospital. Thankfully the only injury he has is a broken elbow, which the docs seem to be waiting on a bone graft for if I understand correctly. He's probably going to be in the hospital until next Monday I believe.

If anyone would like to give him a call to help cheer his spirits, PM or email me and I'll send the contact info.

How's he get in the accident? Bishop's suicidal tree?

Apparently his muffler fell off his motorcycle and got under the tires when he went to pass another vehicle. It's just a good thing he always wears full protective gear when he's riding.

Bwog!? His muffler fell off?!

Either someone seriously fucked up when they tightened the bolts on his slip-on, or he was in a really sharp corner.

Dunno what caused it to happen, saw some pics of the bike and he was damn lucky

He's now home with 21 screws in his elbow and awaiting a bone graft.

Now, is this an /actual/ thing that happened to Sinsual, or is it one of those things Sinsual says happened, that everyone secretly doubts actually occured? Like, you know, me owning a Porsche and being British.

just wait until I can post the Xray pics. I got copy of the finished product and when I go in for the next appointment the bone doc is going to give me copies of the before set.

It happened on my day off, and yes 3-2 my camera got fucked up. I will be out of work 3-6 months ands I stil need to go back in 4-6 weeks for the bone graft. Well I can honestly reconfirm that pavement at 65 hurts and that good gear is worth every penny you spend on it.

It's really too bad that I was too late to call you in the hospital. Good luck with the bone graft. That's very winceworthy, and I'm sorry it happened to you.

damn straight Scamp.
Thanks Patience and to everyone else who wished good thoughts. I am on 2 types of pain killers and an anti-inflamatory. I didn't black out at anytime, and had some of the coolest EMT's I have ever met. They listened to what I had to say and made sure it was clear on my paperwork I was in full gear AND that I wasn't stunting. The Trauma doc herself came back up to check on me and wanted toi let me know how much she appreciated the fact I wear full gear. Things like that go along way towards how you are treated. No one gave me greif about riding, but the guy in the bed next to me, constantly got jibes thrown ay him by the staff. No helmet, jeans and a tank top. There wasn't enough clean spots to take skingrafts from for him and it was only a 25mph accident.

Um, I don't think that's enough to justify more than a .1 Essence loss.

Just saying. But yeah, that's pretty hardcore reconstruction there.

Well, i'm late as usual.

Glad to see that you are okay Sin, I should dig up the x-rays from when I broke my arm in three places falling off that telephone pole a few years back. My arm is more metal now than bone.

If he was awakened, yes. However, one must start asking whether or not he can start fitting acessories or weapons into said piece of 'ware while keeping the Essence loss below 1.0.

Pretty impressively clean. Won't even be too much of a scar.
There is then a need to guard against a temptation to overstate the economic evils of our own age, and to ignore the existence of similar, or worse, evils in earlier ages. Even though some exaggeration may, for the time, stimulate others, as well as ourselves, to a more intense resolve that the present evils should no longer exist, but it is not less wrong and generally it is much more foolish to palter with truth for good than for a selfish cause. The pessimistic descriptions of our own age, combined with the romantic exaggeration of the happiness of past ages must tend to setting aside the methods of progress, the work of which, if slow, is yet solid, and lead to the hasty adoption of others of greater promise, but which resemble the potent medicines of a charlatan, and while quickly effecting a little good sow the seeds of widespread and lasting decay. This impatient insincerity is an evil only less great than the moral torpor which can endure, that we with our modern resources and knowledge should look contentedly at the continued destruction of all that is worth having. There is an evil and an extreme impatience as well as an extreme patience with social ills.
