The first law of parody is: "Be smarter than the thing you're making fun of". Say what you will about Buzz, but the kind of laboratory character-development that lead to his creation impresses me a lot more than this directionless crap some smarmy college loser tossed up on newgrounds.
And, you know, I'm almost certainly the biggest Looney Toons fan around here, and Buzz Bunny doesn't bother me at all. It may suck, but it certainly doesn't offend me. For my money, Space Jam is the far bigger abomination, and debasement of Chuck Jones' legacy.
Bugs Bunny was an extremely topical character, a fact that's overlooked by most of us. He was developed to extend on Groucho's principal of life as cartoon; that's why he emulates him. So, what's wrong with his being redesigned to emulate a new cultural phenomenon?
People like to pretend to get upset about stuff they feel may demean an issue they're particularily neurotic about. Like, for example, a cartoon that sculpted a significant portion of their childhood.
