I got a Gmail invitation through a friend, and I found out I can also invite a few people to it. I was wondering if someone wants one, out of sheer curiosity or tech geekiness. :cyber

Well apparently I'm not cool. They didn't give me any invites to pass out, unless I'm missing something. (Help section says they'll be a link in your inbox if invites are available)

It is very google like, clean and not a lot of crap. I like it. It will be interesting to see how the email content affect the right hand ad space. But very clean and so. Loads fast, atleast there are no graphics ads as far as I have seen yet but instead text/links ads. Could be really great.

10mb limit on attachments ... filling up that 1gb thing is going to take a loooooooong time

That's weird. Check again, it should be on the left side (as a red sign, IIRC) or the upper side (a blue bar, as it's showing right now on my screen).

Lorg, can you give Alareth an invitation? I have a couple left but they're spoken for (sorry, Al).

I'm telling you, nothing. I got not love from Google. I'll check when I get home this evening, maybe it's this browser. I'm at work, and the IE is a bit old. I've had problems before with it.

You don't automatically and instantly get invites. You will recieve notification when gmail is expanding the program to include more people; it will show up in the lower left corner of your inbox, if I'm not mistaken.
