So I recently tried winamp 5 and I have a kind of technical question.
I use quadriphonic speaker (2 front, 2 back), my Win Xp is setted correctly, I have the lastest driver (SB live!), but whatever I do, Winamp won't play on the two back speaker. Does someone know has an idea how to fix that?

Move the two back speakers to the front, and the front speaks to the back.

Wait just one minute ... Winamp 5?
I can't believe I've been so far out of the loop that I missed Winamp 4 completely.

There is no Winamp 4. Winamp 2 + Winamp 3 = Winamp 5.

Okay, I found the problem, it was this tiny litle option you had to activate in the third secret menu...

Yeah, "1 Digital Output Only" has fucked me more times than I can remember, as well.

So are there any reasons why I should upgrade from version 2.91 to 5?

And how would one get there?

Under XP:
Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Click the Advanced button under Device Volumes > Click Advanced again on the volumes screen > bottom-left corner

In winamp 5.
Option > Preference > Output > Double Click on "DirectSound output v.2.2.10" > Enable your soundcard > Check the "Allow hardware acceleration" box > Refresh > Reboot Winamp.
At least that worked for me.
