Love Songs

In the SST forum, users are free to discuss philosophy, music, art, religion, sock colour, whatever. It's a haven from the madness of Bulldrek; alternately intellectual and mundane, this is where the controversy takes place.

Given the number of songs by that Band on my various electronic media, I'd say that's fairly correct.

I'd mention Bryan Adams' songs, but those are a bit obvious, methinks.

Thanks to the damn video, when ever I hear Come Away With Me (Norah Jones), I imagine driving somewhere in South Dakota with Jestyr...

In answer to the original query, I think I'd still like to get married to "Storybook Love" from the Princess Bride soundtrack (listen to the credits for the words, the theme is played throughout, however).

One of my favored present love songs isn't a song but a medley -- the Elephant Love Medley from Moulin Rouge, actually, and only because it goes with an Anime Music Video (Kusoyaro's Sappy Self-Indulgence AMV in particular).

Also on my list, but not yet mentioned (I think):
"In These Shoes" - Kirsty MacColl
"Fall From Grace" - Amanda Marshall
"Moments Like This" - Alison Krauss (Lack of link due to excessive pop-ups on all found lyrics)
"Dreaming Of You" - Selena
"Eyes on Me" - Faye Wong (FF8's love theme -- and this isn't a bad copy, the official lyrics printed on the CD single's liner really do make no sense ;) )

If this thread sticks around, I'll probably add more.
complete. dirty. whore.

Now now. We all know that the orchestrated version of Aerith's Theme blows this out of the water.

Naaahhhhhh. Your song is::

Ding ding ding ding ding
Here comes my wagon
My wagon
I hear the keeper calling me-e-e-e!

Ding ding ding ding ding
Here comes my wagon
My wagon
To take me to the funny factory.

Just like all the nuts that fall,
I'm a little cracked that's all!

Ding ding ding ding ding
Here comes my wagon,
My kiddie car,
My bus. Whoopie!

jesus, this threads been going on for how many pages and no one thought to mention the holy trilogy...fine I'll do it.

the victory theme from the original star wars episode 4: A New Hope. The bit right at the end when Han and Luke get their funky ass medals. I'd need a wookie though for the cerimony though. I don't have one of those....but I do have an elf...

My top 4 haven't changed in years, really. In order, they are:
4."What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong
3."It Had To Be You" by Harry Conick Jr.
2. "Glory of Love" by Chicago
And my personal#1...
1. "Pride and Joy" by Stevie Ray Vaughan
To the entire world, you may be one single person, but to one person, you may be the entire world.

Personally, I always thought Die, Die, Die My Darling by the Misfits really set the tone well for a romantic interlude.

Oh...there was a local band who also made "Die You Dirty Bitch" popular. That's just all kinds of love and affection right there.

Headfuck by the Wildhearts. "She's a headfuck, my baby is a headfuck..."

Pretty much sums up any romantic interlude I'm liable to have ever. :D
And we all love napalm...theres one thing we've learned...that we all love napalm...its the way that it burns...
