Let me say how much I love all the UBB buttons above my posting space.
I like having all (most) of the emoticons visible--even though I rarely use them.
Most of all though, I love the automatic "Mark as Read" function, and I especially like that it marks it by individual thread based.
I'm having so much fun.
I need to fix my sig though and link it to something cool. Hmmm... what could I link to?
Pariah?
Fudge?
My Genre Clash rules?
Other? And none of the above is quoted, really. I'm just trying to nest a list in a quote.
For fun.
[edit to remove extraneous [/quote] tag added by the board--I used the button to put in the first, but then typed the end tag manually]

And don't forget how much I like the View Post/View Forum option after you post.
Very convenient.

Already I like it, and it looks like we'll get something like 30-50 messages in there before the box fills up.
Can't complain about that.

I really really! Like the private message boxes. Go Control! I also think the 'view your posts' function is nifty.

Great, we can rank people by number of posts. That's going to get entertaining
I also like the little scroll bar at the bottom of reply posts

Have you noticed the search_id of the "View your posts" function? In other words, its URL?

The ranking will only get worse; titles are on their way. I'm told.

"Topic Review," below the box in which I am typing to reply to your message, there is a bar labled "Topic Review" and it has the nifty little scroll bar. I think it's neato.

Is topic review useful? A great deal of work has gone into reformatting it to work with the non-standard template - or "skin" - v1.0 uses, under the assumption that it would be useful. Is it?
An explanation should be given for a portion of that sentence: templates are the means by which phpBB2.0 admins control the appearance of their boards. The current template varies much more than most from the default template, which complicates matters somewhat.

It's VERY useful, there were plenty of times on EZBoard where I wanted to check something written, then returned to the original page only to find my post deleted. For absentminded people like me, it's a life-saver. I prefer the creme-savers though...mmmm, raspberry.

I'm so used to just doing [Ctrl+N] whenever I make a significant post - something where there's massive quoting - that I think I'll end up forgetting to use it. That's because I'm really stupid.

Sure, but I was merely acknowledging out left-handed users. Never let it be said that I am prejudiced toward the use of any hand!
Now, as for me, I , being right-handed, would use [shift-leftclick], but, as I said, I was merely ackknowledging our left-handed brothers and sisters.
...
Is it getting hot in here?

Well, I believe the statistics say that 1 out of every 9 people is born left-handed, so that's 11.111111111~% of the vote that's almost guaranteed to me.

Yeah. I agree with that. It will take a bit of getting used to. What did you ever decide about the 'mark forum read' thing? You were saying something about that, 32...

She was referring to my avatar, which was not showing up, and instead just displayed the box with the X. I had removed the avatar by the time you got to the thread. Now it's back, and it's working fine.

I'm at home now. I can see the pic now.
By the way, one feature that I think rocks is the 'view your post' or 'back to the index' choices right after you make a post. Some bords have one and some have the other. They can both be useful at times. It really kicks ass that we have a choice.

In this case, location isn't the issue; there was a profoundly broken feature that has now been repaired.

Any jpg or gif file can be an avatar. It can be uploaded from the internet or from your local computer. It should be 70x70 pixels, and no more than approximately 6k. For instance, your current perpic should function perfectly fine, although the size should be increased to 70x70.

And does this mean that an avatar uploaded from any location is then floating around server side and I don't have to worry about it anymore?

I think my favorite features are the statistics - go figure. The memberlist that tells you when everyone joined, how many posts they have, etc., and lets you sort by /anything/. The stuff in people's Profiles, like percentage of total posts and posts per day. That shit is incredible, and it can't be that hard.
