Yeah, the HP I have is LED backlit, made a huge difference in quality of picture.

Then again the LCD monitor that went belly up on me was about 5 years old and seen a lot of abuse.

Perhaps a little late, but this is the monitor I'm currently using. Have to say I'm very pleased with the display on it, though I don't play FPS so not sure how they'd look. And none of the funky distortion on websites that 32 has mentioned at the native 1920x1080 with the window set to maximum, whi...

Currently playing Ctech, which is awesome. Slowly changing my mind about Eclipse Phase (the more I read, the more interesting it looks) and still addicted to WoW.

Don't miss D&D at all. But would love to play something like Exalted again.

Thanks 32, I'm glad I'm not the only one who had problems with 8.0 AVG. 7x was good, but it stopped updating the definitions. I did turn it off when playing WoW, but it had some background stuff that I couldn't turn off without uninstalling the stupid thing. I'm fairly careful with my net activities...

I was using the latest edition of AVG Free Edition and was causing issues, so uninstalled it, made sure to clean out any traces, reinstalled. Still causing issues and from what I can tell from searches online, it's the current edition. So I'm looking for a decent, not terribly bloated, anti-virus th...

We're going through a frigging Tropical Storm, and you're swimming ? And not in your pool, no, where you can presumably get to safety if things get bad.
