Good point Dennis. Honestly, being an illustrator is part Career and Part Job. I'm not Todd Lockwood, nor DaVinci. I was happy before doing IT...sort of. IT was all job and no career. I guess the difference is that if I were to have a full-on career it would be screw off, slacker and game-nerd. That...

Social connections via internet. I work from home and have little in the way of human interaction during the week unless I make a concerted effort to go somewhere and do something with people...which I usually don't. On the weekends I do see people, so I'm not a shut in or anything. My wife works do...

That's where my wife is now. For years I nagged at her about finding something she wants to do and go for it. There's nothing I hate worse than people who belly-ache about how much their job sucks but they do nothing to change it. So she decided she wanted to be a Crime Scene Investigations Tech. Sh...

I can only commend 32 on his actions as he described them. I'd do the same, with the absolute risk of waking up in a hospital bed wondering what happened :D Me too. Honestly, that's always a risk. You never know who you'll end up facing any given day, or which day you're a half-second too slow and ...

Ok, so we all have a variety of stereotypes we harbor. Do we care about it? One thing I've noticed is that some people seem reticent about their stereotypes, some don't. Me personally? My stereotypes aren't something I'm proud of. Actually they are something I actively endeavor to change. What about...

I think we (my wife and I) tend towards a fairly spartan kitchen. The fridge is usually far closer to empty than full. Actually it's never full. We shop weekly for what we'll have the coming week and that's about it. Add to this we tend to have the same things all the time, with little variety...so ...

I think we waste a LOT of food because someone doesn't want to get sued. Most of the food tossed is still good and will be for a while. I imagine racial stereotypes come to mind first (for me). I live in a predominantly Caucasian part of the country and I admit that there are times where I see someone of X color doing certain things or acting a certain way (that reinforces the stereotype) and catch myself falling in to the mindset o...

Sounds like an excellent reason to discuss and plan for our own demise. Consider that Marius' example can happen to anyone at any time. It may sound morbid, but being a 20-something or 30-something and planning for our own ending seems only prudent. If you really don't want to linger on in a vegetat...

Gaming- I guess this breaks down in to a few different sub-groups as well: Tabletop RPGers. Tabletop Minis, MMO (Warhammer Age of Mythology) which has a lot of overlap with the previous groups, Console FPS gamers. Some of these overlap, some certainly do not. For example the Call of Duty Clan folks ...

I must be in the minority, especially around these parts, but I have never really gotten in to porn. I have seen a little when I was in the service, when it was on and I was present. There's no option/ button for saving changes. The info in my profile is truly ancient and almost wholly incorrect. From my email to website, to the color of my toenails. I'm using firefox.
